Solutions Architect

S3D, Inc. is a start-up organization providing end-to-end motion capture consulting services for Sports, Research, and Medical motion capture consumers. S3D specializes in premium hardware and software support, data management services, and workflow automation. 


S3D is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and has a R&D facility in Milwaukee, WI.


The ideal Solutions Architect will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion.


Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with business users to create architecture in alignment with business need
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users
  • Champion the adoption of reusable architecture assets to improve efficiency
  • Produce documentation to aid in the understanding of existing architecture solutions
  • Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, and UI/UX developers to determine requirements
  • Design and develop cloud-based software systems
  • Perform proofs-of-concept as needed to determine technology solutions
  • Own the technical roadmap and interface with vendor teams to ensure achievability
  • Direct software testing, programming, and documentation
  • Coordinate deployment of software solutions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 5+ years' of relevant experience in an agile software engineering environment
  • Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions in the industry area
  • Experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle
  • Experience with design and architecture in the areas of enterprise application, serverless, micro-services, data, and web applications
  • Excellent with AWS or GCP Cloud and experienced in working and configuring major AWS or GCP PaaS/IaaS services
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, .NET, Python, Docker
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge with GitOps and Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Ability to manage a software engineering team
  • Strong mentorship and leadership skills

This position is remote and requires substantial travel.


General Overview

We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Sales Manager to lead our sales effort within North America. In this role you will directly contribute to our team by owning the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and demonstrations to procurement and closing. We have an agile team which means you will be responsible for every interaction with prospects. As a result, you will be required to take a consultative, solution-focused approach to sales. Our leadership team will depend on you to understand ideal use cases for our technology while vetting each end-user’s requirements. Ideally you have previous experience with motion capture and are comfortable working and talking about the common tools used in the industry.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business within the S3D markets
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships 
  • Work closely and provide input to the Product Development team to identify needs and new trends within the market
  • Build brand recognition together with the marketing department
     

Qualifications

  •  5+ years’ of experience in the motion capture industry
  • Proven track record in a sales and business development role
  • Product management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills 
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, including weekends
  • Must be authorized to work within the United States 
  • Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally
